Re: TSCAL License Transition Site Problems?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Josh-
Any news on this issue? We're less than a month from the deadline and this
is holding up my company's transition.

I've attempted it with IE5, 6 & 7 and FF 2 with the same results.

Thanks. The only thing I have to add is I was using IE7. I haven't had
a
chance to try it on older vsns yet.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.

I called the MS Program Manager, Mike W. Schutz (link below) and left a
message explaining the problem, but haven't heard back. I also tried
to
contact tech support, but the representatives in India shuffled me
around
for
an hour and I finally gave up. If I don't hear something soon, I'll
ask a
contact w/in the TS community to get in touch with someone from the
team.
I'll post back with any news.

I've been seeing the same thing for a week or so now.

I'm entering the keys correctly in XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
format
(I
know this because if I try badly formatted keys it complains).
I've tried it both at work (through ISA) and at home (DSL direct
through
router) at various times including late at night, reduced IE security
settings, etc. with the same error.

Who would I complain to at MS about this - there is no email or
feedback
link at all on the site?

I'm checking to see if anyone else is having difficulty using the
Transition
site (http://licensecode.one.microsoft.com/transition) to exchange
retail
XP
product codes for TS CALs. After I input my XP codes and click
Next, I
get a
script timeout page with an ASP error (0113). I've tried this page
from
multiple locations/browsers for over a week with no luck. MS, are
you
reading this? Fix your site!

Full error contents:

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'

Script timed out

/transition/getXPKey.asp

The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You
can
change this limit by specifying a new value for the property
Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS
administration
tools.
