You should really contact the application vendor for this issue.
Some applications check if they are running in a TS session, and
then exit if they do. Either for licensing reasons, or because the
vendor knows that the application won't work in a TS environment.

If I assume that this application is only meant to be run by an
Administrator on the physical console of the server (meaning you
have a single user license), that could well explain the
application's error message and behaviour. The only (not :) funny
thing is that the application developer has made a mistake by not
allowing remote console sessions either.
