I don't think that you meet the system requirements.

Hello Everyone,.
We are currently using Terminal Server on Windows 2003 for users
to connect to an Application. This Application requires users to
sometimes take pictures using a webcam. When the application is
used locally, there's no problem in connecting to the webcam and
before RDP 6.0 there was no way to redirect the USB Webcam.
In the past, we were using a VPN connection to take a picture
locally and saving it on the server where the TS user would
fetch the image and attach it in the Application.
I installed the New RDP on the Windows 2003 Server and upgraded
the clients to RDP 6.0. I tried to get the webcam redirected,
but it didn't work. The webcam drivers are installed on the
server and client. I've been searching for the answer but can't
find any so I'm posting my questions:
1- Can users with Windows XP (Home or Pro) redirect their Plug
and Play Devices? If so, is there a special way to do it. I've
read that only Devices under "Supported Plug and Play Devices"
can work but this feature is only in Vista. Is there something
comparable in XP?
2- How can I find out (or get a list) of Supported PnP devices?
Is it just a driver change or does the hardware have to be
changed? I understand that the devices have to support (in my
case) PTP, right?
3- Do I also have to install the WebCam drivers on the Server
for the feature to work. (A little like redirecting printers...)
I would really appreciate any help.
Best Regards,
Lawrence
