Re: Event ID 1500, Your Profile can not be loaded

The only information I have for this error is the KB link (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837115) that recommends installing UPHClean. If that isn't working, I don't have much else for you.

Have you looked to see what in the SPs is breaking the PM application? If it is something simple (giving permissions on a single file or regkey, disabling DEP for a specific process, etc.), you might be able to do a workaround to run the PM app, while benefiting from the SP improvements.

SP1 is where the problem lies that is what broke our PM application. Do you
know of a resolution without SP1 or SP2? I would prefer to load the latest SP
but I need the software to work also.

This same error has been mentioned on the newsgroups before, always on
pre-SP1 servers or servers without UPHClean. Even if you can't get approval
for SP2, SP1 has been out for years and has been used in server roles long
enough that I don't think you'll find a single SysAdmin who regretted
upgrading.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" necessarily entails "If it is broke, bite
the bullet and upgrade." :-)
