You have to update the rdp client on the client computers to a
version which supports network printers.
That means at least the version which came with XP SP2:

Hello.
We have a w2k server running Terminal Services in the main
office. In another office (office2), we get a new ip printer
connected to the network. Clients in office 2 connect to main
office with TS. The anothers printers in the network can mapped
on lpt: port and this users print fine.
But, the new ip printer can't be mapped.
How we can do it?
