Re: Automatic log-off for certain accounts

If you're running Terminal Services Win2000 and above, one other option for you is you can allow the user account that runs the CPU and memory graph to logon to console connections, then ask them to connect with mstsc /console.
Thanks

Hello,

Sorry if this is obvious, I am a beginner in Terminal Services.

There is a policy in our servers that logs off sessions automatically
after 30 minutes of inactivity. This applies to ALL sessions
indistinctly. The questions are:

1. Is this configurable anywhere (whether to have this policy or not,
the number of minutes, the accounts it applies to), or is it a fixed
behavior?

2. Is there any way to specify a user or a group of users for which
this setting will NOT apply? We need to have a screen permanently up
and displaying CPU and memory graphs, and would like this screen not
to be logged off automatically.

3. If none of this is possible, is there a known application that will
send a heartbeat to the server, to fool it into thinking there is
activity in the session?

Thanks for any hints and best regards.

Gonzalo
