Hello,
I'm new to google groups so bare with me.
I have installed a windows 2003 standard edition as a terminalserver
for office 2003 purposes 5 months ago. It's been working fine til a
month ago when one of the mirrored harddrives had a fault and started
to crash, I replaced the drive and rebuilded the mirror. After that
the server was stable again. But since then the server had the problem
that it suddenly stoped accepting any outside rdp connection when that
happens rdp connections from inside de lan worked fine. I tried at
first resetting al ts connections in the ts manager but that didn't
help. Restarting the ts server solved the problem for an hour or so.
When I restarted the ts license service on the domain controller(SBS
windows 2003) it functioned again after 5 minutes. Then I didn't
experience any problems with it for a week.
Then after a week again no rdp connections from outside but fine from
the lan. Restarted the TS lisencing manager again after 5 minutes it
started accepting outside rdp connections again.
Yesterday this problem came back again but now it wasn't as easy to
get the rdp connections from the outside going again tried al of the
above but that sometimes solved it for an hour or so. Restarted both
servers (domain controller and ts server) than it worked for 4 hours
or so then again no outside rdp connections. Restarted the ts server
again and now it's still working. I can't figure out what is wrong.
I've checked the eventlog but there are no warning or error messages
of that sort. The internet connection remained stable during the whole
day yesterday. Plus I had no problems taking over the
domaincontroller.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
***
