We are having the same sort of problem and from what I have found in the
newsgroups it look like a lot of other people may be as well. In our case we
had a terminal server that had been in service for over 6 months and last
week the users started reporting that they could not log into it. I rebuilt
the server from scratch and we still have the same problem. It started about
the time our Windows Server Update Services server started installing the
new 6.0 remote client so I have to beleive that it has something to do with
that.
If I add the user accounts to the local computer they can log in. If I add
them to the domain Remote Desktop Users group they cannot log in even if I
set the domain Login To Terminal server policy to allow it. In our case we
were not using the Remote Users group we were setting the rights on the
users TS AD tab and it worked OK before the "update".
Anybody know if there is a way to downgrade a server to the 5.x client?

I have added users to the remote desktop user group of the domain which
consistes of the Win 2003 R2 servers, one of which is a TS. Even though the
users are in the Remote Desktop Users Group, When trying to login I get the
error message that thay do not have the rights to login.
The only thinkg I can think of is it has to be the "Local" Remote Desktop
Users Group, but since the server is a member of the domain, I cannot
figure out how to get to the local groups.
