Re: A little help with adding a printer

You should be happy that you didn't manage to install the driver
and software for this printer, because it's not TS compatible.

Check this document:
HP printers supported in Citrix Presentation Server environments
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?
objectID=c00213455

under
"Using HP ink-based All-in-One and Photosmart printers"

it states:
"HP does not directly support the use of consumer ink-based All-in-
One (AIO) and Photosmart products in Citrix environments."

You might try to map your OfficeJet 7200 to a Deskjet 6540 driver.

Hello
I am usually pretty good at setting up terminal services but I
need a little help on this one.
I have a server at the office running terminal services and I
RDP into this server regularly.
I have a OfficeJet 7200 directly connected to the pc at that
RDPs into the office server.
I wanted to setup printer redirect so that I could use my
printer at home during the terminal sessions.
The drivers of course are not on the server so I downloaded the
7200 software/drivers from HP and started the install on the
server. The problem is that the software/driver does not
extract the files/drivers more of a software install process.
Then ask for the printer to be plugged in (of course the printer
is back at home). And I can not go any further until I plug the
printer in on the server. Obviously, I could bring the printer
to the office and complete the install but I was hoping that
there was a better way. Is it possible to take the drivers, inf
files etc from the home machine?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
.
