There are a couple of things you can do:
* check the EventLog
* enable verbose logging of the user environment:
221833 - How to enable user environment debug logging in retail
builds of Windows
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=221833
* install UPHClean, which can solve a lot of profile unload
problems, and logs its actions in the EventLog:

* check that you have uninstalled all components of those printer
drivers, it's most often not enough to just remove the drivers from
the server properties:

What troubleshooting tools are best recommended to track down.
the problem with logging off? I have setup the ntprintsubs.inf
print driver mapping, and removed the print drivers from the
print "Server Properties" driver tab.

Most likely a printer driver problem, possibly a problem with
unloading user profiles (which in it's turn can be caused by the
incompatible printer drivers).
You should uninstall all 3rd party printer drivers, since many
3rd party drivers are not TS compatible and are known to crash
your printer spooler or the whole server. In stead, map the
printer to a native driver by creating a custom ntprintsubs.inf
file, as described in KB article 239088.

Hello all,
Having a problem with a newly installed Windows Server 2003 R2
Standard Edition Terminal Server.
At random (2+ times a day, or after 3-4 days of usage) users
are unable to logoff. The RDP client hangs at "Logging
off...." for 5+ minutes. When I attempt to login over RDP as
Administrator, it takes 3+ minutes to get to the desktop.
Trying to reboot the server from my RDP session takes almost
20 minutes by the time it logs off my session and the 3-4
other user sessions.
When the first users experiences the Logoff problem, all users
start having problem with their sessions.
After installing the OS, activating Terminal Services, I
installed all the Windows updates (including IE7), and then
installed the following software:
- Adobe Reader 7.0.8
- MS Office 2003
I also installed the printer drivers for the office printers
(some ethernet, some attached to user's PCs):
- Brother HL-1230
- Brother HL-2040
- Brother MFC-8820D
- HP 1320 PCL6
- HP 2200 PCL6
- Minolta QMS 2350 PS
- Minolta QMS 2350 PCL6
- Samsung ML-1740
The Samsung ML-1740 would not print using the fallback printer
driver. It would show up as a printer, but not print any
documents.
Thinking it was IE7, I uninstalled it (which required me to
uninstall Adobe, and Office one MSKB update)
Is this an OS problem, software problem, printer driver
problem or something else?
