Re: User Can not access TS, 'cause don't have admin privi?

No, that's how you check it on a 2003 TS.

But if you have the same error message as Rene (the original
poster):

"The desktop you are trying to open is currently available
only to administrators."

then you should read Dragos reply, because he points out the source
of the problem.
This is a very specific error message, which should not be confused
with other access denied problems.

931353 - Error message when you use RDP to connect to a Windows
Server 2003-based computer that is running Terminal Server and
Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0: "The desktop you are
trying to open is currently available only to administrators"

Soo - this check is on Windows2000, correct? How do you see
this info on Windows2003?

Rene,
Can you please check if your TS machine is running Remote
Administration
mode or TS Application mode?
Run TSCC.msc in a cmd shell, click on treeview Server Settings.
It lists as Licensing on the right pane.
Thanks
Soo Kuan

hi,

1.If you have a citrix there then :
The remedy was to go into the advanced settings of the
ica-tcp listener, and
remove the only launch published applications setting.

Open the Citrix Connection Configuration Tool.
C:\Program Files\Citrix\System32\mfcfg.exe
Double Click on ica-tcp
Then click Advancedâ?¦
Then Under â??Initial Programâ??
Clear the checkbox for â??Only Launch Published
Applicationsâ??

If you are using Remote Desktop to access your Citrix Server,
then make the
same change to the rdp-tcp listener.

2. If you don't have a citrix there then check if the user is
memeber of local Remote Desktop Users on that Terminal
Server. --
