Anti-virus software or hard disk problems seem to be common causes.

Hopfully someone has an answer to this because I am stumped. I
have a windows 2003 terminal server and after ever reboot, new
profiles are setup for users even though they already had
profiles stored on the server.

jtest.domain.000

I am also receiving the following in the event logs:
Event ID 333
"An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed
unrecoverably. The Registry could not read in or write out or
flush one of the files that contain the system's image of the
Registry"
I applied M898060 and that seemed to solve the 333 error but
returned after an hour or so.
Any help is resolving this would be appreciated!
I checked for viruses and ran chkdsk with no problems found. I did
find this article but appears to apply to roaming profiles and not
local. Not sure if this hotfix would apply
