Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Thanks Vera,
This machine was installed 17th so ran 7days without prob.

Antivirus was first app installed(offline), then vir sigs then
hotfix/updates. This probably means hardware.
I'll take a trip to view event log (system I presume).

Tks

Sounds like a hardware problem, or possibly a virus infection, on
the client.
You should try to get the parameters for the Bug Check Code, they
are listed in the EventLog on the client.
Here's more information about Bug Check Code 0x7A:

Brand new laptop, XP Pro connecting to TS Win2k.
Inactivity timeout 30min.

When TS kicks XP client, XP throws Stop code 7A
KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

User rang me with blue screen. While we were talking
it spontaneously ran chkdsk giving option to quit.

I allowed it to proceed. Found no HDD errors although it said
FAT32 but I was expecting NTFS. Anyway, it then rebooted
to the Ctrl Alt Del logon screen. All this with no user input.

It has happened twice. First time she restarted it and all
was normal. She worked for a while then notice blue screen
out of corner of her eye and phoned me.

Is it possible TS is culprit or is it likely a coincidence and
should I be looking at XP.

TIA
