Re: First folder opening very slow

99% of the time it will either be a DNS problem or a mapped network drive that is not available.

Hello,

When i logon to the Windows 2003 Terminal Server and open any folder located on our File Server it takes about 10 seconds to open this folder.
This only happens with the first folder (doesn't matter wich one) i open. After that every folder opens immediatly. Until i logoff and log back on to the TS.
On both the TS and the File Server McAfee antivirus Enterprice edition is installed. I disabled both the firewalls and McAfee on both the TS and the File Server, but this doesn't help.
The problem, however minor, occurs no matter wich user is logged on. I hope i gave enough information. Does anyone know what might cause this?

Thanks in advance,

Marco
