Re: [2003] Why can't app print?

So these printers are locally installed on the TS?
There are not redirected session printers?
Why did you do that?

If users have enabled redirection of loacl printers, they will get
the same printer *twice*, the one which you installed on the
server, and the redirected client session printer, which is
physically the same printer.

If you want to keep your printers installed on the server, make
sure that you disable local printer redirection.
And check if a user can print to the printer from the console.
And the EventLog should also give you some more info, can you post
the EventIDs? make sure that you have enabled all printer logging
on the server (errors, warnings and informational events).

Are the printers redirected and autocreated in their TS session?
How have you configured the driver mapping?

I don't know. On the server, we added the two network printers
in AD by creating an IP port, and installing the latest drivers
from the manufacturer's web site; On the client side, they show
up in the list of available printers, and within their TS
session, customers can print using Wordpad.

Here's the diagram:

TS client on LAN -> Internet -> Server on remote network ->
Print job -> Internet -> network printer on LAN

Could it be that our application doesn't have the required
access rights to the printer? If that's what it is, doesn't this
kind of thing trigger errors in the Even Viewer?

Thank you.
