Re: Letter size

Thanks for the suggestion to log on the console. I was able to change DPI
from there and now all letters got smoller.
Thanks a lot, Dinu

"on a TS" = "on a Terminal Server". Sorry, I should avoid non-
standard abbreviations.

Have you checked if the problem lies in just one profile? Have you
tried to logon to the console of the server, with another
Administrator account?

"Many thanks for your reply Vera.
1. I haven't installed Office Viewer on this server (say Server
A). What does it mean "on a TS?"
2. This server has 285 fonts installed, including Arial and
Tahoma which are usually used by MS. On another server (Server
B) which works fine I found only 82.
3. I reexamined "Display Properties" and compare it to server B
: -They are almost identical: Windows Classic Style, Font Size
Normal, all items in "Advanced Appearence" which accept Font
Size have Tahoma 8, Screen resolution 1280x1024 (cannot be
changed). -What was different was the size of the Items; e.g.
"Active Title bar" was 23 instead of 18. I was unable to make
it smaller than 19 until I change the font to Tahoma 7.

Now the font size is acceptable with the exception of Windows
Explorer, Desktop, Visual Sudio, where the large size is very
annoing. Where can their settings be changed?
Thanks again, Dinu

I've heard of similar problems (everything displayed in
italics) after installing the Office Viewer IE plugin on a TS.
This is a problem with the fonts on your TS. Compare the
installed fonts with a working TS or other server to see if any
of them is missing.

Remote Server: MS Windows Server 2003 SP1
My PC: WS Windows XP SP2

I am the administrator of the server using Remote Desktop and
Terminal Services.
After the server restart after the most recent MS updates,
most programs (Windows Explorer, the Desktop, Visual Studio,
etc) are using large letters.

What should I do to restore the small letters?

Many thanks, Dan
