Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

You don't happen to run Citrix XP also, do you?

888196 - The Print Spooler service stops frequently, Dr. Watson
logs an error message, and Event ID 7031 is logged in Windows 2000
Server or Windows Server 2003

we are running a Windows server 2003 SP1 terminal server and the
spooler seems to be very unstable. As an example yesterday we
had 7031 error in the event log stating the spooler had
terminated unexpected 39 times!

The usual reply to this is check for third party drivers but all
our drivers are either native from the OS install or from
Microsoft WHQL.

I have also noticed that sometimes when there are printer issue
the winlogon.exe process will jump to around 25% processor and
sometime consume the whole processor with multiple sessions.

Any help is appreciated....
