RE: Users can't log on to terminal server

Sorry bout that - it's just been very frustrating getting this issue resolved.

It is indeed a DC. Is that the problem? If so, then I imagine they only
allow TS login for Admin purposes?

Interesting... (And many thanks for the quick replies :-)

Cheers

So here's my question: what's the role of this TS in the doamin?
It's not a Domain Controller, is it?

As I said, I've been through *all* of the correct configuration
procedures for setting up users as remote desktop users. I've
read reams of technical papers about the subject and checked all
my setups along the way to no avail, and it's driving me nuts.
I've even tried some more exotic approaches, but nothing.

Thanks

Hi Dennis,

there is a group on the server called "Remote Desktop Users".
Terminal Services Users have to be in this group.

Hi all,

I've set up Terminal services under Server 2003 and have been
able to log on as Administrator. However when I attempt to
log on as an ordinary user I get:

"To log on to this remote computer, you must have Terminal
Server User Access permissions on this computer. By default,
members of the Remote Desktop Users group have these
permissions. If you are not a member of the Remote Desktop
Users group or another group that has these permissions, or
if the Remote Desktop uUser group does not have these
permissions, you must be granted these permissions manually."

I have gone through all proper procedures for enabling access
for users, including some advice found here on this group,
but nothing seems to help.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be very much interested in
hearing what you've done to clear the problem.

Thanks
