Isn't that what KB 321281 is all about?
By deleting the "Owner=xxxxx" line from the desktop.ini file in the
modified Default User profile, before any users log on.

Thanks a lot Vera. I appreciate your help. I have one more.
quick question. How do I get the "My Documents" folder to have
the username included, as in 'test's Documents'?

Have you configured Explorer to show hidden files and folders?
and protected system files? And not to hide known file
extensions? Then right-click on desktop.ini in the Default User
profile (which you copied from the Test user profile) and open.

Vera,
Thanks for the quick response. I'm unsure on how to
implement this change in my server 2003 environment. I
entered the dir /a /b in the default user folder and I see
the desktop.ini file there (on some servers it is not shown),
though when I type notepad desktop.ini all I get is notepad
saying that desktop.ini does not exist or just a blank
document.
I even did a search and could not locate desktop.ini. Apart
from that, I still have yet to see a [DeleteOnCopy] section
yet.
Any ideas?
I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Ben

Hello,
I customized a new user account called 'test' for the
purpose of creating a custom desktop and application
settings. I logged off and logged back in as admin and
then went to user accounts to use the Copy-To feature to
copy the customized account to the C:\Documents and
Settings\default user folder.
However, when logged on as admin and I use explorer, I
notice that the new user's profile contains a 'Test's
Documents' instead of %username%'s Documents.
For some reason, the accountname 'test' is not replaced by
'johnsmith'
How can I correct this?
Thanks,
Ben
