Re: how do I auto login from xp to terminal server

I'm not so sure.
For security reasons, the password saved in the RDP file is
encrypted in such a way that only the same user, on the same
machine, can decrypt it.

And even if this would work, then you have the problem that the
saved passowrd in the rdp file is not updfated when the users
change their domain password.

Real pass-through authentication is a unique (as far as I know)
feature of Citrix. Buying Citrix *only* to get pass-through
authentication would be madness in most situations.

If you configured roaming profiles, it would work. Or, you
could create an RDP connection and save it on a shared drive,
they would then browse to the drive and double-click. Probably
easier though just to type their password imo.

This is a goofy question, from my goofy users.
They want to log on to their pc, then when they click on RDC
the same username and password gets passed to terminal
server. The hitch is that my users move from machine to
machine, so setting a static connect under RDC options will
not work. I need something that understands the user that is
currently logged on to the machine, and will pass it straight
through to the terminal server WITHOUT my users having to
retype their username and password.
