OK, some more questions:
You write that this only happens on 1 out of 3 servers.
On this problematic server:
* does it happen always?
* or only for some Administrators (=shadowers)?
* or only when trying to shadow some end-users?
If it happens only with a subset of a few users, can you remote
control these same users from within a session to the other
servers?
How have you configured the remote control options? If in a Group
Policy, have youo checked with a Resultant Set of Policies that it
is applied correctly to all users?
Assuming that none of the above helps, I've found 2 similar
reports.
One poster had the same problem, and it was fixed by rebooting the
server.
One reply from a Microsoft MSFT to a similar problem said:
"If you want the user to administer the remote sessions, please
grant Full Control. If only remote control is allowed, the user
will not be able to fully control these sessions. This is because
you will not have the sufficient permission to query or access
required information."

No, not running it directly from the console. Am in a TS
session as always.

Which OS are you running on the servers?
What is the exact error message that you get?
You are not trying to use remote Control directly from the
servers console, are you? You must use Remote Control from
within a TS session.

Hello all,
We have 3 TS servers. All 3 setup identical in the line of
polices and such. This problem seems to be on 1 server only.
Once in a while we try to Remote Control a user session and
immediately get a box saying access denied. All users are
setup the same, to allow Remote Control with user's
permission. Usually the users gets a box and they can allow it
or not. These users don't even get a box to make a choice.
Anyone have any ideas why just a few users instantly refuse
Remote Control? Am running low on policies, switches and flags
to look at.:-(
Thanks much,
John
