FYI: Patrick is *not* trying to sell you anything, he offers you a
list of 3rd party software as a possible solution to your problem,
besides suggesting 2 other options.

Thank you for the resopnce. I'm not sure if your product works
or if your just trying to promote your company and trolling the
threads.
The application is web based. The stores use thin clients.
Does anyone else have any ideas? I waiting on a responce from
the company right now to see if the have an install that we can
use that would work better then java over the internet. I have
other java apps that companies use as well besides just Amercian
Racing. If someone wouldn't mind that is not trying to get me
to buy their products have a solution it would be great.
Thank you

The problem isn't Windows or Terminal Server, but rather that
your application is using ~ 200MB or RAM and quite a bit of
CPU. You could silo this application (run it on separate
terminal servers), force it to the local computer (as long as
they support Java), or try to limit the amount of resources
this application can use, i.e. CPU and amount of RAM using 3rd
party tools.

Hello everyone. I'm in need of some help. We are running 2
terminal servers and are experancing problems with Java Apps.
If you go to http://www.americanracing.com and click on
Applications -> Wheel Visualization a Java Apps will load.
It runs slow on a local computer switching between different
cars and such but over TS, it is really slow and also slows
down the rest of the users that are trying to use Outlook, or
other web sites, prevents users from even logging in at
times.
My question is simple, how can I tweek Java so that it plays
nicer with TS. Is there away to just have one Large Java
Cashe, that both servers and pull from and that would keep
all updated informatiuon? Is there away to make it use less
resources?
When doing searches on Java with TS i get a bunch of try this
java app to connect to TS. Some different words will yeild
different results but with i the first page or 2 I'm back to
download this java client to connect to TS.
I really need some help on this. 50+ users on each server
and growing. I'm currently using W2k ADV SRV 8 gig of ram, 4
2.8 Xeons w/ HT turned off in a HP DL580 G2. I have being
tested right now. the same server running 2003 R2 Enterprise
with HT turned on. I know that 2003 is supposed to handle
things better and I'm working on a solid config before
deployment. Somethings are just live and learn. I need to
know how to make Java work better to TS. Please Help.
