The Open Source RDP Server is here:

There is an open source RDP Server, but it won't run Windows Apps, i.e. it's
an open source Linux RDP Server.

Well, if more bandwidth is needed the conventional approach would be to add
more Terminal Servers (each with one NIC).

Noted.

Depending on where you buy it and what discounts you may be entitled to...
from $800 to $1200. You should be able to get the $800 price.
TS CALs are $800 for a 5-pack
Don't forget, you will also need regular Server CALs if you don't have
enough out of the box ($200 for a 5-pack).

Mmm.. This is beginning to add up :-) Too bad there's no open-source
RDP server.

Patric Rouse provided a great scalability resource.

Googled for this name. I assume he's a TS expert?

There is, of course, much more to it than only bandwidth. It just depends on what your system
will be "serving". Exactly what the machine will be doing, etc. Perhaps you
might expand on that?

Just a desktop business application. I wanted to check whether I could
put it on a TS server to make deployment and maintenance easier than
having to install it on each PC and have it update itself through the
web.

Turns out that one of the most common (and classic) mistakes in enterprise
TS implementation is to throw tons of processing power at it but not be able
to use it due to the bandwidth bottleneck of the NIC.

Great tip.

Thx!
