Re: Terminal Server & reconnect from original client only Policy

Hello,

it not as you guess.
My problem is, that this GPO setting does not work
" reconnect from original client only"

The problem is, if i have two disconnected sesseions of user1 connected from
client1 and client2 for example. If both sessions were disconnected and user1
reconnects from client1, then the user1 will be asked wich session he want to
use, because he has two or more disconnected sessions on the server.

So the system don't keeps an eye on it, of wich client the user comes.

But this is also a reason of this GPO object. Because in the last sentence
stands,
that this policy is only working for the ICA-Clients (Citrix). What a
pity.... :-/

Are you saying the because you have two disconnected sesssion you are able
to re-connect from any client machine, instead of the original machine?

Hello there,

i have a questiton concering terminal services and a specific group policy
permission. And i don't know if the policy works wrong, or i
misunderstandi
it .

I have one user in my AD wich is be able to have multiple TS sessions on
my
terminal server. What i tought was, if i set the group policy
"allow only reconnection from original client"
on both sides (computer- and userconfiguration) it should be possible,
that
the user if his session will be disconnected, could do a reconnect from
the
disconnected client only.

But if i have two or more disconnected sessions on the terminal server, i
receive a dialog during logon process, wich session of my user i want to
choose. And that's what i want to prevent.

I also could user restrict o one session only, but thats what i would not
do.

regards
Roland
