Re: The terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowed connections

The only thing I can think of is the disconneted session not actually
getting disconnected or someone else logging in.
Did you set time outs for the RDP sessions? ANd what is the behaviour for
broken sessions?
Disconnect or end?

Windows Server - Terminal Services

We have a server in our company that is running services that need users
constantly logged in.

So we log in as these (two) users, run the services (in command boxes) and
then disconnect (close the session without logging off).

Using the same credentials to log back in, most of the times, we are able
to
log in as those same users without a problem (we have 2 users running at
the
same time all the time and the server is in "remote admin" mode, so it can
only have 2 remote sessions active at the same time).

The problem is that sometimes we get the error "The terminal server has
exceeded the maximum number of allowed connections". This is totally
random.
sometimes we can't get logged in and we get that error even if we use the
same credentials (username, password and domain) as the sessions that are
still running.

Is there something specific that could cause this? As of now this looks
totally random and as it is the fact that sometimes we can't log in, is a
big problem for us since this is a production server and we must be able
to
perform maintenance on it on a weekly basis and in a timely manner.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Marco
