I haven't tested this, but have you tried to connect to the
console session, with "mstsc /console"?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have changed it to "leave
at remote computer" but it doesn't work. If I go into Sounds
and Audio Devices and try to move the Device Volume up
(actually to the right) I geta beep from the remote computer.
Under the Sounds tab, I try to play a Program Events sound
and I get an error saying the file was damaged or may not be
a valid sound flie. Under the Audio tab, it says my Default
Device for Sound Playback is "Microsoft RDP Audio Driver."
If I play a audio file (mp3 for instance), it says, Windows
Meida player cannot play the file because there is a problem
with your sound device. There might not be a sound device
installed on your computer, it might be in use by another
program, or itmight not be functioning properly."
The audio works fine when I'm using the console of the host
computer.
Thank you,

I'm having trouble mapping audio. I want to keep it at the
remote computer (I
need the server to play the audio while using a client to
control it).
Yes, I have unchecked the box in TS config that disables
audio mapping.
Audio works fine while using console on server. Audio
works fine when I map
it to play on the client during a session. I just can't
get it to stay at the
server.
If I try to play any sound file, It says there is a
problem with the audio device. My guess it is conflicting
with the console's session, but the console's session is
logged off.
During an RD session, under audio devices in the control
tab, the default selected for the session is microsoft rdp
audio protocol (not exact). I can't
change it since it is the only one there (on the console,
I use SoundMAX).
This is all I can recall from the middle of my head.
Please tell me if I need more information. Thank you very
much!
If you are using the Microsoft RDP client, on the Local
Resources tab you can change Remote Computer Sound to "Leave
at Remote Computer". Then when a sound is played from a
remote session it will only play at the host computer and
not at the remote computer.
