Re: terminal services install help

Aaah, you didn't mention *PC* in your first post, so both Seth and
I assumed you meant a W2K Server.
Then the answer is different.

From http://ts.veranoest.net/ts_faq.htm

Q. How can I Remote Control my Windows 2000 Professional client?

A. You can't do this with the Remote Desktop Protocol client. A
Windows 2000 Professional workstation can only be an rdp client,
not a host.
Use NetMeeting or VNC instead to connect to your W2K Pro desktop.

I want a desktop to be remotely accesable on the network. Ever
heard of RealVNC? This program can do this, but I can't use it.
I want to go to my desktop from another computer on the network
basically.

Regarding seth's comments, I don't know where do donwload
terminal services from. Some people told me that its in
add/remove windows components in the add/remove programs window,
but I couldn't find it. Others said that its on the Windows 2000
CD...couldn't find that either.
Again I just have a Win2k PC, not Win2k Server. Can I do what I
stated above?

THanks

Hi,
I have a computer that I need to access from another computer
on the network. I can't figure out a way to install terminal
services? I'm using windows 2000.

Thanks
