Re: 1 w2k ts licenseserver and 1 w2k3 ts licenseserver in w2k/w2k3 domain?

Yes, you can add the 2003 TS as a member server to your W2K domain,
install the TS Licensing Services on the same 2003 server and
install your 2003 licenses on it, while keeping the W2K TSLS on the
DC.

You just have to point the 2003 TS to the 2003 LS:

I don't understand your second question. How are you going to
"update the schema and the domain to w2k3 without using a
w2k3 dc"?

hello,

we are going to integrate the following configuration:

In a windows 2000 domain with 1 w2k dc (ts-license-server
installed) and 1 w2k ts we are going to add a w2k3 ts.
we want to continue using the w2k ts as a backup server in case
that the w2k3 ts server crashes.
so is it now possible to keep the old ts-license-server on the
w2k dc alive to be able to serve the w2k ts if necessary? that
means we will have two ts license servers (1 w2k3 and 1 w2k), if
we add the w2k3 ts, in our w2k-domain. w2k ts as backupserver
but not having the new w2k3 ts-license-server available in case
of a crash wouldn't be a backup or?

another question is, if this configuration would also be fine if
we upgrade the schema and the domain to w2k3 without using a
w2k3 dc for the next months?

.
