Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

It sounds like you're using Mandatory Profiles.

a tech has set up a terminal server on windows 2003 server r2, when we log
in
remotely we cannot change any internet explorer settings or install active
x
controls and it keeps overwriting the local settings. We are using roaming
profiles on our local network and when we log in in the morning after a
remote session all our setting are changed with two quick launch bars.
