I checked it and the polciy setting disable drive mapping is forced to disabled
the result of the RSP is giving me the same setting back.
But i stil have the same problems with IE. When a new user logs in on the
terminal server and try to use the history of IE or to use the function
MAILTO: ...it fails!!
When ii make this use for one session domian admin and perform the IE
history and the MAILTO: function it works fine.
When i remove the domain admins again from the user...,the user then can
stil use the IE history and the MAILTO: function. It seems that the user is
missing somewhere some rights on the terminal server.
I have a domain group called Terminal server users. In this group are the
Terminal server users. This group is member of the Terminal server Local user
group and the terminal server local remote desktop users group.
I hope you can help me out here because i have now already two terminal
servers with the same problem at different costumers.
FYI: the terminal server are windows 2003 standard!
thanks

But if the option is greyed out (can you confirm that you mean on.
the TS, not on the client?), then it's still most likely to be a
GPO somewhere.
Can you run the Resultant Set of Policies tool and compare the
GPOs applied to Administrators and a normal user?

i checked and is set ok.
i think it is a problem with rights. it happen after i updated
the server with new microsoft updates. before that al runs well.

Configuration tool on the server?
If so, you most likely have a Group Policy which blocks this
option. Look for this setting in your GPO:
Computer Configuration - Administrative templates - Windows
Components - Terminal Services - Client/Server data redirection
"Do not allow drive redirection"

in microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services:
When i log in as u "normal" user, i do not have the
permissions to map the tsclient drives and also when i use IE
history it will give me a error that the file does not exist.
When i give this user domain admin rights and login again
everything works. Wen i then again remove the domain admin
rights the IE problem is solved but the tsclient mapping
problem still excits. Whe are managing a lot of TS server and
the last month a couple of those server do have this problem!
also the mapped drive option in RDP-TCP is grayed out. i am
using TS 2003 so this should be selectable!!??
Any suggestions
