Don't be driven off by the term "ip printing".
It's just a normal network printer for the terminal server, weather this is
\\printserver\printer or \\192.168.0.1\printer.
This can be used of the printserver is resolvable in it's normal way.
If that is technically not possible, then the client has to revert to
autocreated printing, which routes the printjob via the clientmachine's TS
session to the destination local or network printer.

The use of a network printer (\\printserver\printername) uses different
technology to generate a printjob, then an autocreated printer does.
When using a network printer, the TS server sends the printjob in raw
format
to the printserver, which takes 100% care of the job.
When using an autocreated printer, the TS server prespools th eprintjob
using a driver on the TS server. This prespooled job is then compressed
and
send over to the clientside which picks it up, uncompresses it, and sends
it
to the local printspooler or printserver for final spooling.
This prespooling logic is exactly what causes 99% of the issues out
there.
Therefore switching to ip printing (network printing) is the best thing
to
do, if technically possible, and if the bandwidth allows it (raw format
is
much bigger then autocreated format)
