Create a login script that runs when users log into the TS, and map the R:
drive that way. All users will then get the mapped R: drive.

Thanks for the response.
When they are in-house I have a terminal session for each user pre-set
with
their logon credentials on a network drive with a shortcut to it on their
desktops. They already have an "R" drive at that point via the login
script.
They click on the application icon and it loads the terminal session and
launches the program.
Off site there is no "R" drive present so it will not find "R" in the
"Start
in" field of the Rmote Desktop session properties. I suppose I could map a
persisitent "R" drive on the server itself and that may cure it. That way
it
is there when the program starts. Also, putting the program in the all
users
startup folder may work better as they already have the "R" mapped when it
calls that. However, when loggin in while in-house that may cause the
program
to launch twice.
Sorry - just thinking out loud.

Why don't they have an R drive mapped when they logon to the terminal
server? Why not map the drive through a script when they login?
And yes, you can use GPO's and folder redirection to limit the startmenu
and
desktop.

Hi all,
I have a terminal server that is used to run a particular application
in-house. This cuts down dramaticly on network traffic. I also have
about
5
users that log into the TS remotely from home.
In house they have a drive mapped to "R" and with the logon I have them
launch right into the application with a full screen. However, when the
user
logs in from home the "R" drive does not exist so I am forced to have
them
launch the app from the desktop after logging into the server. I woud
like
to
remove everything else but that application's icon from the desktop and
maybe
even the start button. Is there a way to do this?
.
