Interestingly, no, I can't.
Even as Administrator, when I choose the "Windows 2003 screen
saver" in Display properties, it works in preview mode (just as
you describe), but when the screen saver kicks in, it gives me the
blank screen saver. Only the GPO setting seems to work.
Never knew that... Isn't it funny that one still learns new
features (or should we consider this as a bug :-) after working so
many years with a product?
