Re: Always get Blank Screensaver with Remote Desktop

Cool! Thanks Vera.

It works when forced via Group Policy, but not when selected manually through display properties.

Under 2000 server you can manually select and use whichever screen saver you like and it will work.

Are you able to change the setting on your servers using Display Properties and have it actually work?

Maybe my machines are messed up for some reason.

Thanks.

It's perfectly possible to configure a different screen saver in a
TS session, although *not* recommended. Verified on Windows 2003
SP1.

User Configuration - Administrative templates - Control Panel -
Display
"Screen saver" - configure as: "Enabled"
"Screen saver executable name" - configure as: ssmarque.scr

Make sure that you also use
Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System - Group
Policy
"User Group Policy loopback processing mode"

in the same policy, and that you link it to the OU which contains
the Terminal Server account.
