"screen saver timeout?"

I have a windows 2003 server. A client connected via RDP gets a screen saver login screen after 20 minutes on a MAC client. The terminal session is still active but he can not get back in from the login screen. If he kills the MAC RDP client and starts it again he can resume his session.
I have the terminal server and user settings set to never timeout. I have not tried to change the screen saver settings which just happen to be 20 minutes. I will try that next.
I did the same thing from another user myself and after 20 minutes I get the screen saver login screen. I can not log back in with the user name and password which started the session but, if use the user name administartor and his password I am back in.
I have a feeling if I set the screen saver time out to never my user will not get locked out. But, what is up with having to enter administartor to get back in?
Has anyone else seen anything like this?
