The terminal server has exceeded ...

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

When attempting to connect to a remote server through remote desktop I
consistantly receive
"The terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowed
connections."

Furthermore, the number of allowed remote connections cannot be altered by
the admin.

Any ideas on this?
