Hi Tom,
I got mine sorted just now. We have two different builds in 2003. One build
doesn't have this issue whilst the other one does. The main difference I
notice is that the problem build is windows 2003 Service Pack 1 (5.2.3790
Service Pack 1, v.1289 Build 3790) the build which doesn't have the issue is
just win2003, no service pack (5.2.3790 Build 3790).
I installed SP1 on the working build and it still worked! So i checked
winmsd again and it had it listed as "Version: 5.2.3790 Service Pack 1 Build
3790." Where was the v.1289 that the problem machine had?
I decided to reinstall SP1 over the problem machine and when it came back up
the v.1289 was gone.... and so was the issue! It's working fine again now,
I've no idea where this v.1289 came from, maybe an earlier release of SP1?
Have a look yourself by running winmsd.exe and see what the Version is
listed as.
Hope this helps.
