Default Printer cannot be set

I'm having some problems with setting up profiles with users being able to
set up their default printer. everytime i try to right click and set up
default printer, it clicks like it is setting the default printer, but i'm
not seeing any check mark beside that printer. I have double checked to make
sure that there isn't a default printer set by going into adobe and trying to
hit print. It says i don't have a default printer set. Any suggestions?
