Check the links I provided for information on obtaining free transition ts cals.
Yes, you must purchase TS CALs for the remaining XP clients if you want them to connect to your TS.
Thanks.

For your Windows 2003 TS, you need to have:
1.) Windows Server 2003 server license for the server
Yes, got one for the TS Member server and a SBS 2003 licence for the Domain Controller.
2.) Windows Server CAL for each device or user as appropriate If the user/device already has an SBS CAL, then this requirement is met
Each PC has an SBS CAL
3.) Windows TS CAL for each device or user as appropriate If the machine that is connecting had a Windows XP Pro license that was purchased before April 24, 2003, then you are eligible for a free TS CAL for it
About 5 of the 20 PCs connecting to the Terminal Server were bought before that date. How do you get a free TS CAL?
4.) Any other required licenses, for example each physical device that will be running a MS Office app on the TS server needs to have an office license
We have an Office licence on the Terminal Server for each PC that will connect to the TS
So ... what you're both saying is that there is no way around it -
you must buy TS CALs for XP clients purchased after 24 May 2003. Is
that right?
