Application fails when the client device is running Win98

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

We have a Win2003 SP1 Terminal Server. Users connect to it from remote locations in order to run a FoxPro 7.0 application. When they connect from a Windows 2000 workstation with the latest RDP cllient or from a Linux box with the rdesktop utility (www.rdesktop.org) the app works fine. But when the client device is running Win98 (with identically configured rdp client) the app shows a strange error about a missing file (which actually should be in a different location) and hangs.

This is very strange - I don't know why the OS of the client device would actually matter in that case. Does anyone have an idea?

TIA
