I think this is the same problem I ran into and posted about only earlier
today. The solution seems to be to enable keepalive support in Win2K
terminal Server.
Save this bit as "keepalive.reg" and open it to add it to the Registry:
-- begin keepalive.reg --
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server]
"KeepAliveEnable"=dword:00000001
"KeepAliveInterval"=dword:00000001
-- end keepalive.reg --
Alternately, you could set the reg values manually as I did.
I haven't tried this on the troublesome server, but I tried it on a
nonproduction terminal server and it seems to behave as expected - it will
disconnect a lost connection after about a minute. You can then reconnect
to the original session.
