Thanks for the info, Patrick. I suspected as much (no set formula) and
agree that it depends on a lot of factors. If we go higher then 50
users, I'm sure I can talk them into another server and then load
balance. I like all the "comfort" I can get =)

There is no such formula that you can apply, as all hardware and
software differs. There are however load testing tools that can be used
to test your hardware with your applications to get a better estimate of
how many users you can get on a box.

Generally 50-75 sessions on a dual Xeon CPU w/ 4GB is a comfort zone,
i.e.
under 80% average CPU Time w/ some RAM to spare. Like I said, this all
depends on what software users run, settings you enforce...
