Printing has always been a sore spot with server based computing, that's why
there are so many 3rd party printing companies. The cost of one of these
products is less than a normal laptop or a LaserJet 4200N or equivalent
network printer, i.e. $1000-1500, and will allow you to print to whatever
printer the client has.
The problem with printing in a basic TS environment is that you're strapped
to the printer drivers that ship with the OS, and as time goes on these
printers are harder and harder to find.
Generally HP LaserJet 4xxx series printers are the most compatible, as they
all work with the standard LaserJet 4 or 4 Plus Drivers, so you can map those
with a user defined inf file. For inkjet based printers, they must be PCL
compatible, i.e. NOT host based printers.
You can find sample mapping files on my website here:

I make a decent living on support calls from people who refuse to spend
money on a 3rd party printing product, I'm just telling you that in a
business environment it's more cost effective to purchase one of these and
not have to deal with printing problems.
Companies that make sub $200 printers don't normally care if they work in a
SBC environment (even HP). Stay away from Multi-function printers, as these
are the most troublesome.
The best compatibity list is here:
