Hello All !
We have W2k Domain with W2k DC's
Also We had two W2k Termianl servers.
Recently We have migrated one of our's Terminal servers to Windows Server
2003 SP1.
We use dfs path for things like:
- user profile
- home directory and Terminal services Home directory
- folder redirection in GPO
example:
\\domain\dfs\profiles\username
\\domain\dfs\DOCS\%username% - folder redirection in GPO settings
in Windows 2000 We had no problems with this and now we have several issues
- errors like no mappings to user home directory:
from eventlog:
"... Failed to set the user's home directory (Drive Y: connected to Share
\\domain\dfs) ..."
- Or another problems with folder redirection:
when user create a new folder in his redirected "My Documents" he doesn't
see it immediately but after refresh !
There is no problem when folders are redirected like:
"\\server\Share\%username%" but we don't want to change it like this,
we want it to stay on dfs.
So it looks this issue concerns w2k dfs on W2k3 server (?)
Do You know how to solve it ?
Thank You.
