How to set up a terminal server for windows 2000?

Dear all,

I am only a windows user and have been using telnet for remote login.
I want to know whether Terminal Service is the same as a telnet or is it
something else.

Where can I find more information about it, especially if I want to use it
from the command line.

Thanks,

.
