        Thanks for response Vera.....much appreciated!

One major thing that compounded my problem is that for some
reason this machine has trouble accessing some Snap Servers that we
have storing our applications. These servers are running some version
of Linux. I can map a network drive to the snap servers, but when
accessing it when trying to install an app, it would take forever for
it to start the install process, then it would fail saying that it
couldn't read the file(s), and then it puked all over itself. My
TS2000 and NT 4.0 TS server do not have this problem. I am getting
around it by copying the apps to a different server and the install
goes fine. I will be looking at the nic to see if that has anything to
do with it.

Also, when installing non-Microsoft apps, I am now getting a
"File Download" dialog box that pops up when I try to launch the
application, and it has the verbage "These types of files could be
harmful to your system" yada, yada, yada. The file is an .exe and my
choices are Open, Cancel, and More Info with Save being greyed out. I
looked at the help file and it stated.

The Always ask before opening this type of file check box is not
available for some file types, such as files with the extensions .exe
or .com, which run programs or commands. When this check box is not
available, you will always be asked before opening this type of file.

Well the check box is greyed out, and we have several apps
that do have an exe to start. This is not good if everyone will have
to hit "Open" when they launch these applications.

Do you know of anyway around this? I tried install with change
user and Add\Remove thinking "MAYBE" it needed to be installed in a
specific way to remove this dialog box.

        Again thanks for your help.

Regards,

Kenn
