OK, so I was having some trouble getting some thin client (neoware) TS
clients to use the right licenses, and after installing the hotfix detailed
in KB837211, and using per device mode, ratehr than per user mode, they
started to work.
In the process of troublshooting the problem, the Terminal Services License
server had some licenses put into it, that we weren't going to use. So to
clean them out, I de-installed the license service.
But now, since all the thin client's had gotten valid 2003 ts per device
licenses before I blew away TS Licensing, I can't see any one picking up
licenses, not even the temporary licenses.
I need a way to force these thin clients to re-license, so I can see if they
are going to pick up the right licenses. I tried deleting
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Mslicensing per another KB article on both the client
session and locally ont he affected server (which is running both TS an TS
licensing).
Help?
