Looking at implementing some thin clients and was wandering if the following
scenario would work.
Have 3 remote offices where each remote has a server that will be used as a
terminal service server.
Then in the HQ will have another TS server which will host the DB as well.
Is it possible to have a TS server(remote) accessing a program on another TS
server(HQ) then the remote clients accessing the same app from the remote TS
server??
I am only thinking of this as it may save cost of CAL lic's??
the clients in the remote will all be using thin client devices instead of
pc's to access programs like word and email. But to access only one app(db)
the clients at the remote sites will access this program from the remote
server which gets it from the HQ server.
Or maybe I am totally off here:)
NOt sure if anyone is going to understand this as I am having trouble
myself.
Thanks
