Terminal Server / Remote Desktop contingency?

Hey all -- I'm trying to prepare for a problem that I don't have yet.

If I'm dependent on Terminal Server / Remote Desktop to administer a
remote box, what do you do if it stops responding?

I remember that PCAnywhere had a service that sometimes stopped -- and
restarting it would then bring it back.

What are common reasons that Terminal Server / Remote Desktop stops
responding, and how do you get it back up?

If there's a good site / faq about this sort stuff, please let me
know.

Thanks!

-Scott
