The D680 uses Canon CAPT technology, which i think is host based, and not
suitable for autocreation.
I would sugegst contacting canon support, to ask them if the axis 1610 (the
canon optional printserver) can
fix your problem.
Ask the supplier if the 1610 comes with a PCL or PS compliant driver.
